Aboutthe Role
HRtoGO is expanding our go-to-market motion as part of our 2026 growth plan. Historically, our growth has been driven by referrals, relationships, and inbound demand. We are now adding a dedicated outbound function to proactively reach ideal employers and support targeted sales and marketing campaigns.
We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help create qualified pipeline through consultative outreach to small and mid-sized businesses. This role is focused on opening doors, starting meaningful conversations with decision-makers, and setting up high-quality meetings for our sales team. This is not a closing role. Success is measured by quality pipeline creation, not volume alone.
What You Will Do- Proactively identify and engage prospective employers that align with HRtoGO’s ICP
- Execute outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to support sales with the intent to qualify key ICP organizations
- Create awareness of, generate interest in, and nurture organizations in key market segments
- Qualify prospects through consultative conversations to uncover HR, compliance, payroll, or compliance needs
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings with business owners and decision-makers for the sales team
- Maintain accurate activity, notes, interactions, and outcomes in CRM
- Partner closely with sales and marketing to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness
- Share feedback with sales and management on common pain points, objections, and industry trends from conversations with prospects
Build early relationships with prospects to establish trust and position HRtoGO as a credible HR partner
- Consistently booking qualified meetings with ICP-fit organizations
- Nurturing outbound conversations into sales opportunities
- Supporting outbound campaigns with measurable pipeline contribution
- Maintaining high-quality handoffs to sales with clear context and discovery notes
- Demonstrating improvement in messaging effectiveness and targeting over time
- 1–4 years of B2B sales, business development, payroll, PEO, benefits, or professional services experience
- Comfort with outbound prospecting and initiating conversations with business owners
- Consultative mindset, great listener, curious, ask good questions, and position value
- Organized and disciplined in managing outreach and follow-up
- Coachable, Initiative taking, and accountable
- A competitive, and continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in HR outsourcing, PEO, payroll, benefits, or workforce services is a strong plus
- Solid foundation in HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance services
- Consultative, relationship-driven approach to serving employers

- Direct exposure to leadership and strategic GTM initiatives
- Prior experience in PEO, HR consulting, payroll or benefits
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Hub Spot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience supporting outbound campaigns or vertical-specific prospecting
- Experience selling to SMB businesses
- Demonstrate keen interest in improving your craft by using AI tools
