The Disbursements Division (DISB) of the California State Controller’s Office plays a crucial role in ensuring that the state’s financial obligations are disbursed accurately and on time. This division handles the issuance of payments for State employees, retirees, vendors, and various state programs, making it essential to keeping California’s operations running smoothly. Job Description And Duties
Under general direction provided by a Key Data Supervisor II, the Key Data Supervisor I will plan and supervise the activities of employees who are responsible for key entering paper and electronic documents, and meeting established deadlines.
Duties Performed:

  • Supervise and train Key Data Operators to key and verify paper and electronic documents.
  • Input processing commands on the designated console PC.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, including but not limited to: statistical reports and backlog reports.
  • Maintain employee attendance records, and prepare employee evaluations and other employee-related documents.
  • Gather workload information for irregularities received from other divisions.
  • Monitor the daily workload and allocate work to the operators to ensure deadlines are met.
