Technical Documentation and Program Operations Specialist

Pay Range: $44.66hr - $49.66hr Job Overview:
This position supports the organization's Wildfire Ignition Safety and Execution (WISE) program, which is responsible for driving full compliance with utility standards regarding preventing and mitigating fires while performing work. The standard defines mitigations that must be applied before starting work to prevent fires under various conditions, adapting daily work practices to changing ignition potential. The candidate will translate complex procedural information based on business requirements and standards into user-friendly references such as Policy and Procedures, user manuals, and job aids.

The candidate will collaborate with and gather information from internal and external stakeholders to develop documentation that is easy to understand and use, while supporting field inquiries regarding policy interpretations. Additional responsibilities include document editing, document lifecycle management, basic web setup, and document publishing. The candidate will also develop presentations and manage program data in various database programs, including Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce, to produce reports utilized for progress reporting, trend analysis, and program compliance.

Major Responsibilities:
Manage communications. Schedule and coordinate events as requested. Develop an understanding of client fire prevention standards. Develop internal work procedures and initiate process improvements. Assist management with the leadership of key department initiatives such as system development, training, and focused campaigns or initiatives. Act as a liaison between various departments and cross-functional teams. Influence decisions, providing recommendations for change that will lead to the success of company goals and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct research and data analysis; compile and prepare reports for upper management. Utilize system and personnel resources to successfully address inquiries from internal business partners. Support the organization as a subject matter expert by providing information and direction to resources through various delivery channels. Develop and manage trainings to enhance knowledge and job skills. Participate on cross-functional teams. Distinguishing Characteristics:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Typically requires 0-3 years of related experience or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
