Your Next Opportunity

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Systems Team on a large-scale electrical construction project, assisting with planning, coordination, and administration of all low voltage and specialty systems. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of electrical or low voltage construction processes and is eager to grow into a full Project Manager role in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.
  • Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, problem resolution, and ensuring compliance with company/project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain change orders, submittal, and drawing control logs; prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Prepare and submit contract submittals accurately and timely.
  • Create and issue Subcontractors’ contracts.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Ensure the project quality control plan is followed.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Keep the Warranty Log up to date.
  • Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support.
  • Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel in the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
  • Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

  • Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements
  • Proficiency with computer software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
    Oracle preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player
  • Interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, etc.
What You Bring To Us
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of construction-related experience
  • Equivalency of training, education, and relevant work experience
Travel
  • Up to 25%
Working Conditions
  • Primary work on active construction sites; environment includes standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Indoor work with varying conditions (fluorescent lighting, air conditioning).
  • Noise level is typically low to medium.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range
  • $70,400.00 - $98,200.00 Annual

The pay range is an estimate for candidates who meet the listed qualifications and requirements. Pay may vary based on location, experience, skills, and education.
