Job Description & How to Apply Below

This job isn’t about sitting behind a desk pretending construction happens on spreadsheets. It’s about understanding how mechanical systems actually get built—and taking responsibility for making sure they’re built right.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager with hands-on experience delivering HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, and Hydronic systems on commercial and industrial projects throughout the Sacramento region. If you’ve spent time in the field, know the difference between theory and reality, and take pride in doing things the right way, this role was written with you in mind.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll manage projects from kickoff to closeout, keeping the work moving and the people aligned.

  • Lead mechanical construction projects involving HVAC, piping, plumbing, and hydronic systems
  • Manage budgets, schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, and field crews
  • Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders with a practical eye
  • Identify problems early and solve them before they become expensive
  • Ensure safety, quality, and code compliance are never optional
  • Support field teams with clear direction and realistic expectations
What You Bring to the Table

This role values experience, judgment, and work ethic.

  • Proven experience managing mechanical construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and hydronic systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both office staff and field crews
  • Comfortable making decisions and owning the outcome
  • Mechanical Engineering or Business-related degree preferred, not required
  • Field background or trade experience is a plus—and respected here
Why This Role Matters

Mechanical systems are the backbone of every building, and this role exists to make sure they’re installed safely, efficiently, and correctly. You’ll work with people who understand the trade, respect the craft, and know that good work still matters.

If you believe construction should be honest, practical, and well-run—and you’re willing to take responsibility for the results—we’d like to talk.
