Job Description
Responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of assigned project(s) from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including client relations and cost control on the job. Oversee field installations of Plumbing and Piping systems, as well as equipment, on assigned projects. This typically includes new construction, equipment and piping retrofits, and renovations. Ensures that all system installations and repairs are completed according to code and in a timely manner.
Be able to effectively communicate with team members as well as clients or customers. Ability to perform installations in a wide variety of settings including commercial offices, hotels, multi‑use dwellings, process and medical installations.
- Be thoroughly familiar with Plans, Submittals, and Specifications.
- Work with PM and Field Superintendent in formulating construction schedule and maintaining construction schedule throughout the project from start to finish.
- Supervise employees, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure both quality control and project compliance.
- Identify and generate all RFIs related to assigned project.
- Coordinate with PM, Field Superintendent and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with PM and Field Superintendent to resolve problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with engineers, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes, and requests.
- Produce and submit accurate job documentation as per the designated timeframe including dailies, time-sheets, safety reports, as-builts, etc.
- Ensures that all construction work performed is of the highest quality.
- Minimum five years’ experience as a plumber or pipe fitter.
- Strong plumbing/piping installation background.
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building/trade codes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience being the lead journeyman in a variety of construction settings.
- Current safety certifications.
