Construction Manager III – IV (Municipal Water Infrastructure)
Full‑time, Exempt position located in the Northern and Central Valley of California (client project sites in Modesto or Turlock).
Compensation: $125,000 - $196,350 (based on Medford/Turlock region; geographic differentials may apply for other regions).
Location:
Can sit anywhere in the Northern and Central Valley California regions. Requires physical presence at the client project site 4–5 days a week.
- Oversee civil construction projects with a focus on water or wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and concrete/steel water storage tanks.
- Develop and maintain client contact before, during, and after project completion.
- Lead project meetings, prepare agendas and minutes.
- Review contractor monthly pay requests, confirm quantity & pricing, analyze and negotiate change orders, dispute resolution and claims mitigation.
- Manage project team including resident inspectors, CM administrative support, and subconsultants.
- Assist with business development and client engagement, identify key pursuits, and develop proposals and budgets for CM projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (including climbing ladders, reaching, stooping, kneeling, etc.).
- 8–10+ years of civil construction project oversight experience in a civil engineering or construction firm specializing in water or wastewater.
- Experience with treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, or concrete/steel water storage tanks.
- Valid California driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, Procore, and construction documentation software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently, be fully mobile on job sites, and maintain excellent attendance.
- College degree preferred;
California Professional Engineer certification preferred but not required.
Requires travel to client offices and project sites.
