Position OverviewThe project manager construction role is responsible for overseeing complex construction and restoration projects from inception through completion. This individual will coordinate field operations, manage subcontractors and crews, ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, and maintain strong communication with clients, estimators, and internal teams. Qualified candidates will serve as a key resource for large-scale, high-profile, and complex projects while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational standards.
Job Duties- Assist senior leadership and other project managers with large or complex projects as needed
- Participate in CAT (catastrophe) response efforts when required
- Continue developing expertise in construction management, building codes, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as a mentor and role model for superintendents and field personnel
- Identify opportunities to upgrade or expand services on assigned projects
- Communicate daily with estimators regarding project progress, scheduling adjustments, and challenges
- Continuously improve project management skills related to budgeting, scheduling, customer communication, and documentation
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and field employees through all phases of construction
- Read, interpret, and manage blueprints and construction drawings
- Oversee projects exceeding $1M in value
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building regulations and safety standards
- Manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Document project progress through reports, photo logs, sketches, and field documentation
- Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and material procurement
- Monitor quality control and job site safety standards
- Support restoration and reconstruction efforts during emergency response situations
- Attend company-sponsored training and safety courses as required
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of all company service lines
- Manage project scope, schedules, subcontractors, safety, quality control, and customer communication
- Establish and maintain strong project management processes and documentation
- Review project requirements daily and communicate progress or challenges to leadership
- Provide accurate and timely project documentation, including reports, sketches, and photo logs
- Manage fixed-bid and time-and-material projects effectively
- Assist with vendor and subcontractor qualification processes
- Understand invoicing procedures and maintain accurate project records
- Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Maintain professionalism, urgency, attention to detail, and strong customer service standards
- Work under deadlines and time-sensitive project schedules
- Travel periodically and work evenings or weekends as needed
- Accurately report labor, equipment, and consumable usage
- Completion of company-required onboarding and training programs
- 5+ years of construction, restoration, or project management industry experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination
- Sales or client relationship experience with the ability to identify upsell opportunities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Experience managing commercial and residential construction or restoration projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and sense of urgency
- English literacy and fluency required
- Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs
- Occasional assisted lifting of 41 lbs or more
- Ability to access and maneuver in tight spaces
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting
- Ability to use mobile devices for data collection, reporting, and time tracking

Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 annually, with opportunities for commission and additional compensation.
