Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager (Civil Site) to join our dynamic team! As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing construction projects for our firm. This role demands a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
This role requires a skilled individual who can lead teams, read blueprints, control costs, negotiate contracts, manage risks, and uphold the highest standards of construction safety. Responsibilities/
Job Duties:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they adhere to quality standards, deadlines, and budget.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications to determine the appropriate construction methods.
- Develop and implement project work plans and make revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage project budget and schedule including tracking and controlling construction costs to avoid cost overruns.
- Conduct contract negotiations with clients, architects, and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms.
- Identify and analyze risks associated with the project, develop risk mitigation strategies and manage the implementation of risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with construction safety rules and regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Lead and manage the project team, fostering a collaborative environment and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Requirements/
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-10+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the Commercial Construction Industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, OR related working experience.
- Experience managing Large Projects (between $50M-$100M or higher) required.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Proven experience in cost control and contract negotiation.
- In-depth understanding of construction risk management.
- Strong commitment to construction safety practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software (Procore desired).
