Position Overview

The Resident Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for residents in our apartment community. This role is responsible for addressing resident concerns, facilitating communication between residents and management, and creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere by hosting engaging resident events. The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, and committed to enhancing the resident experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Relations:
    Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns, providing solutions or directing them to the appropriate resources.
  • Community Engagement:
    Plan, organize, and execute resident events and activities that foster community spirit and social interaction.
  • Communication:
    Serve as a liaison between residents and property management, ensuring clear and timely information flow about community updates and policies.
  • Problem Solving:
    Address and resolve resident issues, complaints, and emergencies with empathy and efficiency.
  • Documenting and Tracking of property complaints via internal systems (Case Manager)
  • Customer Service:
    Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, assist with package deliveries, and provide general concierge services.
  • Resident Newsletter- responsible for creating and distributing a monthly resident newsletter. This newsletter should include important community updates, upcoming events, resident highlights, maintenance schedules, and other relevant announcements. The goal is to keep residents informed and engaged, fostering a sense of community and transparency.
    Tasks include gathering content, collaborating with property management and residents for contributions, formatting the newsletter using appropriate software, and ensuring timely delivery via email or printed copies.
    Feedback from residents should be collected to continually improve the newsletter’s content and effectiveness.
  • Event Coordination:
    Develop and manage event calendars, coordinate event logistics, and promote activities through various channels.
  • Administrative Support:
    Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, event attendance, and feedback. Prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Leasing, property tours and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in hospitality, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or property management is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate resident events.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service.
Working Conditions

Position is based on site at the apartment community. May require lifting event materials or packages up to 25 lbs. Work schedule includes a mix of weekdays, evenings, and occasional weekends.
