Customer Service Representative
AtWork is seeking a professional and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join a Sacramento-area organization serving the local community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, solving problems, handling a variety of administrative tasks, and providing excellent service both by phone and in person. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with the public, handling challenging conversations professionally, and managing multiple priorities in a busy office environment.
WhatYou'll Do
- Provide professional, courteous, and empathetic customer service at all times
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone, internet, and in person
- Answer questions, address concerns, and resolve customer complaints
- Establish positive rapport with customers, residents, and visitors
- Process work orders, forms, applications, requests, and related documentation
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
- Assist with resident and community inquiries, including rental-related questions and service requests
- Schedule appointments and provide information regarding available services
- Assist with administrative duties supporting office and community operations
- Receive and coordinate work order requests and help ensure timely completion
- Gather information and appropriately assign tasks to internal teams or field crews
- Handle confidential resident and organizational information with discretion
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with coworkers and other departments
- Provide feedback regarding customer service processes and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prioritize daily responsibilities while effectively managing multiple tasks
- Previous experience working in a customer service or customer support environment
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong telephone and face-to-face customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous when dealing with frustrated or upset customers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and customer-relations skills
- Professional demeanor and a genuine willingness to help others
- Ability to gather information, determine appropriate next steps, and coordinate requests efficiently
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License
- Must maintain a driving record acceptable for business-related driving
- Position may require driving during various weather conditions
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including the possibility of working any day of the week based on operational needs
- Must be willing to attend required training
- Work schedules and work locations may vary based on business needs
- Position may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and other physical activities associated with an office/community environment
- May occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- A pre-employment physical examination may be required
