Type: Direct Hire - 2 openings available

Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite - relocation assistance approved on a case by case basis)

Salary: $70,304–$80,000

Schedule: Rotating shifts (24/7 facility)

Job Summary

Kelly Engineering is hiring a Maintenance Shift Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity with a pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Sacramento, CA. This is a working supervisor role supporting a sterile, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

This position requires hands-on pharmaceutical maintenance experience and prior shift or team leadership. This is not a facilities-only or desk-based role.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead maintenance technicians during assigned shifts
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for:
  • Fill/finish equipment (vial, bag, PFS)
  • Autoclaves and isolators
  • Formulation and filtration systems
  • Assign work, prioritize maintenance activities, and support daily execution
  • Reduce downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and quality standards
  • Train, mentor, and support maintenance technicians
  • Support equipment startup, commissioning, and contractor coordination
  • Ensure SOP adherence and accurate maintenance documentation
Requirements
  • Minimum 5–6 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance technicians
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting background in sterile or fill/finish environments
  • Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation
Compensation & Details
  • $70,304–$80,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • $3,000 relocation bonus available (case-by-case)
  • Direct hire opportunity
