Your OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and technically focused Project Architect to support the continued growth of our Mission Critical / Data Centers practice. This role offers the opportunity to lead the Architectural development of complex, technically sophisticated projects for national and international clients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented professional with strong technical capabilities, leadership skills, and a passion for design quality, project execution, and team development.
As a Project Architect, you will contribute from early planning and conceptual development through construction administration and project completion. This role requires a strong understanding of technical coordination, construction documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and project delivery within complex mission critical environments.
YourKey Responsibilities
Translate concepts into clear technical documentation using Revit and visualization tools
Develop practical, technically sound design solutions aligned with project goals and client needs
Support site planning, entitlements, and approvals with civil and consultant teams
Prepare and manage construction documents from schematic design through construction administration
Coordinate architectural and engineering documentation, including technical reviews, detailing, redlines, QA/QC, and interdisciplinary coordination
Assist with project schedules, scopes, staffing plans, and fee tracking
Mentor team members and promote collaboration, accountability, and growth
Perform code analysis, material evaluations, specification coordination, and technical research
Support bidding and construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field observations
Stay current on codes, sustainable design practices, building technologies, and construction methods
Clearly communicate technical and design solutions through presentations and stakeholder coordination
Support business development through client interaction, presentations, and marketing efforts
Maintain technical quality, documentation accuracy, and constructability across all project phases
Advanced Revit proficiency required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools preferred
Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to integrated architecture and engineering project delivery on complex projects
Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, constructability principles, specifications, codes, and permitting processes
Strong understanding of project documentation, technical detailing, and construction administration processes
Experience assisting with project schedules, fee management, budgeting, and coordination of client deliverables
Experience assisting with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field observations
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills and commitment to technical accuracy and quality
Ability to mentor teams and build collaborative working relationships
Highly organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and effective in deadline-driven environments
Professional Architecture degree from a NAAB-accredited institution or equivalent
Current Architectural license required; NCARB certification and/or LEED Accreditation preferred
10+ years of experience in commercial architecture and design, including 2+ years of design experience focused on Mission Critical or Data Center projects
LEED Green Associate or LEED AP a plus
Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
