Al-Arqam Islamic School & College Preparatory is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our PreK–12 team. The teacher will deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction in core academic subjects while integrating Islamic manners and values throughout the curriculum. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a positive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential academically, socially, and spiritually.

• Implement Al-Arqam’s school curriculum in Math, English, Science, History, Physical Education, and Art.
• Ensure alignment with California Common Core Standards and school learning objectives.
• Integrate Islamic manners and values throughout instruction.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, including:
• Cooperative learning groups
• Direct instruction
• Differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs
• Hands-on manipulatives and visual aids
• Support individual students with additional academic assistance as needed.
• Monitor and assess student performance regularly and provide clear feedback to students and parents.
• Use the school-adopted Accelerated Reader program to support independent reading and literacy development.
• Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment.
• Establish classroom management systems that provide students with opportunities to reflect on behavior and learning.

• Participate in professional development offered by school and local county offices of education a.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student growth.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and school events.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the school mission.

• Bachelor’s degree and preferred Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
• Experience teaching early elementary grades (K–5) preferred.
• Knowledge of current research and best practices in elementary education and instructional strategies.
• Commitment to Islamic values, student-centered learning, and professional growth.
