BASIC FUNCTION:

Under direction, plan, carryout, and evaluate developmentally appropriate instructional activities for children between the ages of birth through the elementary school years who are enrolled in the Child Development Program.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, TRAINING, AND

EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree required in a related field and Child Development Permit, (Site Supervisor or Program Director) issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In addition, teachers assigned to infant/toddler classrooms must have a minimum six (6) credits in infant/toddler coursework ORElementary Teaching Credential with at least twelve (12) ECE/CD units (including the 3 core classes required for Site Supervisor Permit), and three (3) units of supervised field experience.

Comments and Other Information

Substitutes work on-call as needed bases. This is a continuous posting for the 2024/ 2025 school year which is scheduled to open on August 19, 2024. We will screen periodically during the school year and will email qualified applicants at that time. Child Development Teachers work with Infant/Toddlers, Preschool Aged & School Aged Children. If selected you will receive an email from the Substitute Office noting the following items:
* SSN Card
* California I.D
* TB Test ( no more than 60 days old )
* Tdap, Measles and Influenza Immunizations
* Covid Compliance
* Provide "Official" University Transcripts, indicating Bachelor's Degree conferred. Must be submitted in a sealed envelope or electronically from your University to HR Department upon receiving On-Boarding Email Invitation.
