About Coastline College
Coastline College is a community college located just outside Los Angeles in Orange County, California.
Representative Duties- Student Assistant I – Entry level/Semi‑skilled
:
Works under immediate supervision on routine and repetitive tasks. Uses established procedures, special equipment, or software as directed. - Student Assistant II – Intermediate/Advanced
:
Works under general supervision. Handles varied responsibilities, accesses sophisticated data systems, and performs moderate independent judgment. Requires at least one year of experience in a similar assignment. - Student Assistant III – Specialist/Lead
:
Works under general supervision and may direct work of lower‑level assistants. Requires broad skills, significant independent judgment, and at least two years of experience in the same assignment.
- Student Assistant I:
Little or no prior experience or education required. - Student Assistant II
:
Some previous knowledge, experience, or education required. - Student Assistant III
:
Prior experience, education, or specialized skills required.
- Ability to perform assigned job functions.
- Limited independent judgment and decision‑making, depending on level and assignment.
- Balance work responsibilities with academic commitments.
- Enrolled in at least six units for the current semester.
- Have a Federal Work‑Study award from the Financial Aid Office.
- Meet satisfactory academic progress (SAP) requirements.
- Demonstrate financial need as calculated by the Financial Aid Office.
- Work requires meeting essential physical demands typical of the job.
- Work environment may involve typical office or on‑campus conditions.
- Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified applicants with disabilities.

- Complete the online employment application.
- Attach a current class schedule (PDF recommended).
- Attach an electronic copy of the Federal Work‑Study award (PDF recommended).
