Al-Arqam Islamic School & College Preparatory is seeking a dedicated Secondary School Teacher for grades 6–12 (middle and high school). The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, student-centered instruction, and the integration of Islamic values and character development within a rigorous college-preparatory environment.

Teachers at Al-Arqam play a vital role in nurturing students’ intellectual growth, ethical character, and sense of responsibility as Muslim learners and global citizens.

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with state standards and school curriculum for grades 6–12.
• Design engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, inquiry, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners.
• Integrate Islamic values, ethics, and character development appropriately into instruction and classroom culture.
• Establish a positive, respectful, and structured learning environment.

• Develop and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Provide timely, meaningful feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic growth and expectations.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating Islamic manners (akhlaq) and professionalism.
• Collaborate with counselors, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.
• Enforce school policies related to attendance, behavior, and academic integrity consistently and fairly.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, vertical alignment, and instructional improvement.
• Contribute to a professional learning community committed to continuous growth.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.

• Model Islamic character and values in all professional interactions.
• Support the mission and vision of Al-Arqam Islamic School & College Preparatory.
• Participate in school wide activities, assemblies, and community events.
• Respect and support the diversity of backgrounds within the Muslim community.

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience teaching at the middle school and/or high school level preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based educational environment.
• Commitment to student success and lifelong learning.

• Experience in an Islamic school or faith-based setting.
• Familiarity with curriculum mapping, learning management systems, or student information systems.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching.
