Associate/Full Professor – Mind Institute

Full-Time.
Salary: $138,600 - $369,000 per year.
Position OverviewAssociate/Full Professor in the Ladder/In Residence series within Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, focusing on intervention and/or diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions. The role blends clinical care, teaching, research, and service across a diverse academic setting.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical/diagnostic services in the MIND Institute Massie Family Clinic (~20% of time).
- Direct integration of the clinic with research programs, developing evidence‐based programs, strategic planning, clinical trial readiness, and funding opportunities (~20% of time).
- Conduct independent research on intervention or diagnosis of autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions (60% of time), including grant writing, experimental design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and presentations.
- Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows, and deliver required lectures.
- Participate in departmental committees, professional societies, and educational organizations.
- Engage in scholarly activities: mentoring, research review boards, and leadership roles in scientific societies.
- Ph.D. in clinical psychology (or equivalent) and be licensed (or license‑eligible) to practice in California.
- Active extramural research funding in intervention or diagnostic study of autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions with a demonstrated publication record.
- Strong evidence of excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service, including experience with diverse trainees.
- Ability to anticipate change, implement initiatives, and build collaborative relationships across clinical and research partners.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with a record of successful mentorship of diverse candidates.
- Cooperative, collegial, and able to work effectively in a diverse environment.
