Virtual Academies Teacher

VA (Virtual Academies) is an academic program that offers core content instruction for students in grades 6-12. The program is designed to engage learners through direct instruction, thoughtful classroom discussion, relevant projects, and, when possible, local meetups/field trips. VA is designed to meet the academic, social, and developmental needs of students while preparing them for high school. VA Teachers will be responsible for teaching synchronous and asynchronous classes in their assigned content area.

Live classes will consist of one-hour live, virtual sessions twice per week. The Virtual Teacher will also hold scheduled virtual office hours twice per week, monitor student progress, assign grades, and be available for individual student appointments as needed.
