Position Overview

The Construction Management (CM) program at Sacramento State prepares students to enter professional practice immediately upon graduation. The curriculum emphasizes practical, hands‑on learning through laboratories, field experiences, and project‑based coursework. CM graduates are highly recognized and valued by regional employers, and many advance quickly into leadership roles on major construction projects.

As a part‑time lecturer in the CM program, you will be responsible for instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs. Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean.

Part‑time lecturers are instructional faculty with conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget. Appointments are normally for one semester and may be renewed based on department needs, funding, and performance.
