The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California Davis School of Medicine seeks an academic research scientist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in the In‑Residence Series who can develop or has already established an independent hypothesis‑based research program pertinent to pharmacogenomics.

Expectations:

• Spending approximately 90–95% effort conducting research and 5–10% teaching.
• Developing and sustaining a nationally recognized, independent research program supported by extramural funding such as NIH and other federal or foundation sources.
• Teaching didactic lectures, seminars, laboratory teaching, and small group teaching of undergraduates, graduate students, residents, fellows, medical students, and other health‑professional students.
• Working cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and building productive professional relationships with medical and technical staff, trainees, and others.
• Engaging in translational discovery, interdisciplinary collaboration with centers such as the Alzheimer Disease Center, MIND Institute, Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and others, and serving as a bridge between veterinary and human medicine.
• Participating in human clinical research and translational animal models.
