Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Executive Director of Project Rebound, the Student Services Professional II performs moderately complex professional student service work. Assignments require knowledge and judgment in applying the principles, techniques, standards, guides, and professional skills characteristic of a student service program. This role requires sound independent judgment, effective interpersonal skills, flexibility, tact, sensitivity, and analytical skills to assist with documentation, mandatory reporting, and program assessment.
The purpose is to assist students in making successful progress toward their degree objectives, provide supplementary learning experiences, and encourage effective use of university knowledge and skills.
Note:
This is a temporary position ending on or before June 30, 2027.

Working knowledge of the practices, procedures, and activities of the assigned program; general knowledge of organizational and program management methods and problems; general knowledge of research and interview techniques; and knowledge of the principles of individual and group behavior. Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations; use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments; plan and implement long‑range program improvements;
obtain factual information through interviews; reason logically; collect, compile, analyze, and evaluate data; make verbal or written presentations; advise students individually and in groups; recognize multicultural, multisexed, and multi‑aged value systems; establish cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, agencies; and rapidly acquire knowledge of campus operations. Determination of knowledge and abilities is demonstrated through experience.
Experience:
Equivalent to two years of professional experience in a student services program area or related field; a master’s degree may substitute for one year of professional experience.
Education:
Graduation from a four‑year college or university in behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a related field; specialized experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
