Barobo is seeking an Elementary Math Education Specialist to join our learning and curriculum team in Davis, California. This position will serve as a subject‑matter specialist in elementary mathematics education, with a strong focus on TK–5/6 curriculum development, hands‑on math learning, and teacher professional development.
The Specialist will develop standards‑based math curriculum and instructional resources, conduct professional development for educators, and support schools and districts implementing Robo Blocky Math. The Specialist will also be trained across Robo Blocky Math, Computer Science, STEAM, and Expanded Learning curricula to provide introductory professional development and implementation support across programs.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a remote or hybrid position. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of Davis, CA, where Barobo’s main office is located, or be willing to relocate. Applicants must be US citizens.
Responsibilities- Develop standards-based TK–5/6 mathematics curriculum, lessons, activities, assessments, and instructional resources.
- Develop engaging, hands‑on learning activities that strengthen students’ understanding of mathematics.
- Integrate mathematics with manipulatives, coding, virtual and physical robots, and real‑world problem solving.
- Develop resources supporting core and supplemental instruction, intervention, enrichment, and expanded learning.
- Conduct engaging in‑person and online professional development for educators.
- Lead in‑depth professional development in elementary mathematics and effective instructional practices.
- Support schools and districts implementing Robo Blocky Math curriculum, software, workbooks, and robotics.
- Work with teachers to gather feedback and continuously improve curriculum and professional learning resources.
- Collaborate with Barobo’s learning, curriculum, engineering, and product teams.
- Support workshops, demonstrations, conferences, and other educational events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in mathematics, elementary education, math education, STEM education, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of elementary mathematics concepts and instructional practices.
- Ability to explain mathematics clearly and effectively to teachers and students.
- Strong interest in helping students build understanding, confidence, and success in mathematics.
- Experience developing mathematics curriculum or instructional materials is preferred.
- Elementary classroom teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or professional development experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of K–12 mathematics standards and curriculum is preferred.
- Experience with math intervention, enrichment, or differentiated instruction is a plus.
- Interest in integrating mathematics with coding, robotics, manipulatives, and hands‑on learning.
- Coding or robotics experience is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial, growth‑oriented environment.
- Available for occasional travel to schools, districts, conferences, and professional development events.
- Must work full‑time in person at Barobo’s Davis office.
- Must be US citizen.
- Barobo offers a competitive total compensation package that includes a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, and health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full‑time position is $70,000 to $110,000. An individual’s base salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
