Family and Consumer Sciences

We seek instructors with a credential in Home Economics/Family and Consumer Sciences to prepare the next generation of FCS instructors. Candidates should have teaching experience at the secondary or post‑secondary level, and engagement with FCCLA programming. Instructional areas include Family Finance, Family Resource Management, and Career Preparation, as well as Fashion Merchandising and Management and Family Studies and Human Development.

• Instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours for assigned courses.
• Other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
• Coordinate course assignments, dates, time, and modality with the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean.
• Prepare and submit required materials and forms as required by the department.

• Master’s Degree (required).
• Doctorate degree, teaching experience at the post‑secondary level, and/or credentialed in Home Economics/Family and Consumer Sciences and/or experience with FCCLA.

• Cover letter including specific courses of interest and qualifications to teach.
• Resume/CV.
• Unofficial transcripts of highest degree or degree required for the position.
• List of three references with contact information.

Initial appointments are typically for one semester; appointments may be renewed based on department needs, funding, and performance. Salaries are based on professional experience and educational background, with Lecturer A or B rank.
