Position Details

Lecturer Pool – Public Health. The Department of Public Health at Sacramento State serves nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate students.

• Master’s degree in a field related to the area of instruction is required to teach undergraduate courses.
• Doctoral degree in a field related to the area of instruction is required to teach graduate courses.

• Prior experience teaching college‑level courses.
• Previous or current employment in Public Health or related disciplines.

• Deliver instruction, prepare classes, grade assignments, and hold office hours.
• Teach courses in Health Informatics and Data Science, Health Services Administration, Occupational Safety and Health, and related areas.
• Courses may be offered online, hybrid, or in‑person in morning, afternoon, or evening class schedules.
• Assist with other departmental duties as needed; assignments are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean.

Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. Salary ranges are based on a full‑time rate of 15 weighted teaching units.
