Salary Schedule for Fully Credentialed Staff: $60,000 annually - $126,000/annually (Please note that candidates must be internal employees to be placed on Column 5; for external candidates, Column 4/Step 11 is the maximum incoming placement)

For the 2025-26 school year, various opportunities for additional pay include the following:

• $5,000 - $14,000 annual stipends for hard-to-staff Special Education positions
• $2,000 annual stipends for the hard-to-staff positions of counselor, social worker, and teacher librarian
• $3,000 annual stipend for advanced degrees
• $1,000 - $4,500 annual stipends for various extra-curricular activities

Apportionment Requirements

Education Code section 48000(g), under the purview of the California Department of Education (CDE), requires credentialed teachers who are first assigned to a TK classroom after July 1, 2015 to have one of the following by August 1, 2025:

• At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both
• Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1 (comparability determined by the local employing agency)
• Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing

Note, any teacher who is or was assigned to teach TK, or a combination of kindergarten and TK, on or before July 1, 2015, may teach TK without having to meet the additional unit requirement for TK teachers set forth in Education Code section 48000(g).

Cottage is a Montessori site. Montessori certification is preferred. Please attach verification of Montessori experience/certification if applicable
