Service Manager - GA

Responsibilities

• Apply detailed knowledge of Palfinger products and other key suppliers.
• Train and assist service technicians on all products and PUSA services.
• Manage and schedule in‑house and field service technicians for the location.
• Approve and manage expenses and costs for daily branch operations.
• Review location plans for current and future workloads, including labor and customer needs.
• Collaborate with other locations as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
• Strive for zero defects on service.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the local customer base and competition.
• Track and approve service activities through the company’s CRM system.
• Maintain a current WIP and process accordingly.
• Produce quotes that align customer expectations with accurate costs.
• Communicate actively and courteously with internal support.
• Adopt a customer‑focused approach toward both external and internal customers.
• Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating an entrepreneurial drive in daily activities.
• Report directly to PUSA’s Service Manager.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in broad/general shop/service management or 10 years within the truck equipment/crane equipment industry.
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Windows applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the company CRM.
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and be resourceful.
• Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of Palfinger products.
• Good people skills and the ability to view situations from a business standpoint.
