Overview

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both local and global levels per design packages.
  • Programming and installing head‑end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both local and global levels.
  • Lead the on‑site software commissioning and testing.
  • Lead inspections, evaluations, and inventory; perform take‑off project drawings.
  • Document and track RFIs.
  • Design assist and feedback.
  • Document daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicate project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Create and manage project schedule and integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
  • Forecast and manage project labor hours; communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guide and mentor technicians.
Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type
:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information.
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph is required.

Key Requirements
:

  • Valid driver’s license; position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle.
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.

Education
:

  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or graduation from an accredited electronics technician program.
  • Graduation from an electrical apprenticeship program.
  • An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.

Required Progressive Experience
:

  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • 3 years of experience focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Time‑management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (plus).
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications
:

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows OS & certifications). Experience in installation of said systems.
