Job Description

SUMMARY
T.Y. Lin International is seeking a Project Manager (Bridge) that requires technical expertise in bridge design, plans production, and the ability to manage projects/clients, supervise production in multiple offices, and provide day-to-day technical guidance, supervision and career mentoring to direct reports.

• Project Manager and client interface on specific bridge related projects.
• Directs proposal efforts for bridge pursuits, and writes assigned sections of bridge proposals
• As a seller-doer, participates in BD activities for pursuit of bridge work opportunities
• Develop production work plans, schedules and budgets.
• Work with other project managers and Unit manager to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
• Plan and schedule engineering work.
• Implementing rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures.
• Organize and develop contract plans.
• Develop contract specifications and bid estimates.
• Ensure proper codes and standards are being used on projects.
• Supervise, coordinate and review the work of other engineers and designers.
• Provide the design staff with guidance and assistance on projects.
• Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.
• Assist with pursuits of highway and transportation projects.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in bridge design. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred. CA Professional Engineer’s license and at least 7 years of bridge design experience. Experience in project management required. Successful experience managing bridge design projects and design teams. Requires knowledge of bridge design and analysis software. Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports. Experience with local and state procedures strongly preferred.
