Office Engineer – Highway & Bridge Projects

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Office Engineer to be based in Sacramento, CA.

• Manage and process essential project documentation, including change orders, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and transmittals.
• Provide crucial support to the engineering staff by conducting complex engineering calculations, operating specialized equipment, and performing rigorous inspections to ensure strict compliance with project specifications.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures to consistently meet project deadlines and achieve optimal results.
• Oversee and mentor junior‑level technicians, fostering their professional development while maintaining high standards of performance.

This position requires a detail‑oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. The successful candidate will play an integral part in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our transportation projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as an Office Engineer on large‑scale transportation construction projects.
• Experience with transportation‑related project documentation such as change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals.
• EIT certification desired.
