We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Controls & Automation Technician with 5-10 years of experience to support troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of automated systems within a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.

Location: Sacramento, CA

Pay rate: $70-85K

Relocation Assistance: is provided

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot & maintain automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging processes
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Support equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and validation documentation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP, FDA, and 21 CFR Part 11
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering
  • Support investigations and help with CAPAs.
  • Maintain and update automation documentation, including SOPs and technical manuals
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and reduce downtime
  • Provide technical support during audits and inspections
Required Qualifications
  • HS or Associates Degree in Engineering or graduate from trade school.
  • 5-10 years of experience in GMP regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshoot PLC (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Familiarity with SCADA and HMI systems
  • Basic understanding of validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
