ResponsibilitiesExecutives various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations. Performs on‑site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems. Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies. Key duties include conducting site surveys, configuring hardware and software, testing systems for proper operation, and providing technical support to customers. Field Technicians must possess strong problem‑solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Utilize and comprehend project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
- Participate in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability.
- Track project metrics and participate in weekly resource allocation meetings.
- Verify correct charges in timesheets on projects.
- Execute installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation.
- Track and inventory tools, conduct tool inspections, and organize material ordering and receiving.
- Conduct daily ORM meetings, ensure team compliance with safety requirements, and complete accident/incident reporting.
- Participate in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to ensure high‑quality testing and installation.
- Install system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards. Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
- Manage base switch configurations, participate in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoot programmable components.
- Ensure compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings.
- Install and maintain field devices, terminate and test system components, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic issues. Lead commissioning efforts, track commissioning activities, and assist in representing M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams.
- Communicate consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, other trades, and customers, demonstrating dedication and collaboration.
- Lead by example, provide constructive feedback, mentor crew members, and encourage strategic thinking and innovation.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and time‑management skills, aligning with M.C. Dean's vision, mission, and values.
