Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Designing low and medium voltage power systems.
• Designing lighting systems and associated controls.
• Designing fire alarm and mass notification systems.
• Preparing construction plans and specifications for electrical systems.
• Developing probable construction costs.
• Providing construction administration and site visits.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers.
• Serving as project manager and/or project engineer on complex electrical projects.

A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 12 years of relevant electrical experience.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states.

• 25 years or more of relevant experience as electrical engineer.
• Project manager experience with managing multiple projects, major project scopes, or multi‑discipline projects.
• Experience with developing market leads, pricing, estimating, and scoping for proposed projects.
• Experience with development of project budgeting, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
• Designing low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems.
• Preparing construction document drawings using Revit.
• Designing electrical systems using power design software (Easy Power preferred).
• Using lighting calculations software (AGI
  32 preferred).
• Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications.
• Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems.
• Experience or familiarity with generative AI‑driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.

Salary Range: $145,000 to $185,000 – actual compensation may vary based on experience, skill set, or location.
