Responsibilities- Final Airworthiness Inspections: Inspect aircraft and components to ensure compliance with Textron Aviation Quality standards and FAA regulations for return to service.
- Quality & Compliance Oversight: Review inspection records, reports, and documentation for accuracy and adherence to RII, Part 135, and internal quality standards.
- Tooling & Equipment Verification: Perform periodic checks and calibrations on precision tools and test equipment to meet FAA and OEM specifications.
- Material & Parts Control: Inspect and accept incoming parts and supplies, ensure proper tagging and traceability, and prevent installation of unairworthy components.
- Technical Documentation & Resources: Use OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, and MELs to guide inspections and maintenance procedures.
- Aircraft Walkarounds & Safety Checks: Conduct regular aircraft walkarounds to verify form usage, identify hazards, and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
- A high school diploma or a GED is required.
- An A&P License is required.
- Ability to use arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications is needed.
- A knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles and mechanical systems is needed.
- At least 5 years of varied A&P mechanic experience on jet and turboprop, 100-hour and annual service experience is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable, is needed.
