Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Project Engineer experienced with water resources and/or transportation related projects for an opening in our Sacramento, CA office. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on flood protection and design of a new off-stream storage dam in Northern California. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Providing technical support to water infrastructure projects including: design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities.

Development of plans, specifications, and construction estimates.

Collaborate with teams for analysis for dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.

Preparation of technical reports, memos, and engineering design and construction related documents.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

California Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Caltrans or other DOT transportation projects.

Master’s degree in civil engineering.

Experience with CADD i.e. Civil 3D and Microstation Open Roads.

Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8 modeling software preferred.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $.
