We are seeking a mid‑level geotechnical Engineer or geologist to join our growing team in Sacramento, California. Our firm is large enough to work on some of the most complex projects across North America, yet small enough to remain employee‑owned and focused on our core practice areas. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis and assessment of major infrastructure projects with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities- Perform engineering activities throughout all phases of a project lifecycle, including investigation, evaluation, analysis, design, and engineering services during construction
- Lead tasks within projects and manage smaller projects
- Perform calculations to support designs
- Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Support and attend client interaction technically and in business development
- Manage and mentor more junior staff within project framework
- Plan and manage detailed and technically advanced geotechnical investigations
- Prepare boring logs, drawings, and reports
- Assign and review laboratory tests
- Prepare simple reports and proposals
- 6+ years of professional experience or fewer with Master’s Degree or PhD
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Geologist
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks, complex calculations and basic reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and a desire for continual self‑improvement
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening
The compensation range for this position is between $90,000 to $120,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
