AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Sacramento, CA office. This position is expected to begin in June 2025.
Responsibilities- Builds analytic and design skills
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
- Performs work per agreed budget and schedule under supervision
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and have completed at least three years of study.
- Candidate who has recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plans to continue with the master’s degree is eligible to apply. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most recent school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Assist in the production of all phases of the design process.
- General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings.
- Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authority is not available for this position now or in the future.
- This position may result in working overtime from time to time and candidates must be willing to accommodate schedule deadlines for delivering projects.
- This position is intended to accommodate candidates scholastic schedules. Candidates may be allowed to work throughout the calendar year during school breaks in addition to a summer break.
- Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $22.00/hour - $30.00/hour.
