An established engineering consulting organization is seeking a talented Engineer to join its growing Transportation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects while collaborating with a highly experienced, multidisciplinary engineering team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in roadway design and transportation improvement projects, with opportunities to lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and contribute to projects ranging from highways and local roadways to bicycle and pedestrian facilities, drainage systems, and related transportation infrastructure

Responsibilities
  • Design roadway system improvements and related transportation infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineering leadership.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, and construction cost estimates.
  • Conduct technical analyses and studies to support project development.
  • Develop preliminary engineering concepts, alternatives, and layouts.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
  • Support project delivery through all phases of planning, design, and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of roadway design experience.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related roadway design software.
  • Experience applying Caltrans roadway design standards, including the Highway Design Manual (HDM) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
