* Kimley-Horn's is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Sacramento, CA office's MEP team!
** Responsibilities*
* + Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on Building Systems Engineering and/or Industrial project types.
+ Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various projects such as load calculations for HVAC, Exhaust, Chilled & Heating Hot Water Systems.
+ Prepare design drawings - floor plans, flow diagrams, details, schedules, etc. and calculations for projects under a Professional Engineer.
+ Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
+ Familiarity with the State and local
Coderegulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
+ Project type will vary but may include advanced manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, and mission critical facilities.
** Qualifications*
* + 2+ years experience in a similar mechanical engineering role with familiarity working on advanced manufacturing facilities, industrial facilities, and mission critical facilities
+ An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical Engineering
+ EIT/EI certification and/or Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain licensure)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication
+ Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
+ Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
+ Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
+ Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
+ Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
+
Experience with Revit,AutoCAD, and excel and exposure to Trane Trace or IESVE.
** Salary Range:** $90,000 - $135,000
