Senior Project Manager

Job Location:

Sacramento, CA Base Salary: $140K-180K

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects within the heavy civil sector, specifically focusing on utilities, water, wastewater, sewer, pump stations, treatment plants, and water storage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of construction projects related to heavy civil works, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage project teams, including engineers, architects, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of progress and expenses.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges effectively.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all work meets specifications and contractual requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale utilities, water, wastewater, sewer, pump station, and treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
