Montgomery & Associates seeks a Project Hydrogeologist to support and lead groundwater and water-resources projects within our Engineering & Design group. You will design and implement hydrogeologic investigations, conduct field programs, analyze and model groundwater flow, and prepare high-quality technical reports and figures. Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you'll help develop innovative, sustainable solutions for complex water challenges, interact with clients and regulators, and contribute to project planning, budgeting, and quality control while growing your technical and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute hydrogeologic field investigations, including drilling oversight, logging, and aquifer testing.
  • Conduct groundwater flow and transport modeling to support water-supply and remediation projects.
  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize hydrogeologic and environmental datasets using appropriate software and GIS.
  • Prepare clear, defensible technical reports, memoranda, maps, and presentations for clients and regulators.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering and design teams on complex water-resources and environmental projects.
  • Contribute to project planning, scopes, schedules, budgets, and quality-control reviews.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders, documenting decisions and technical bases.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and water-resources regulations and standards.
  • Promote innovative, sustainable approaches to groundwater and water-supply management.
  • Support business development through technical input to proposals and presentations as needed.
