Associate, General Ledger Accounting

Job Description:
We are seeking an Associate to join the General Ledger (GL) Accounting team within the Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) segment of L3
Harris. This role is responsible for performing routine, monthly accounting activities, as well as supporting compliance activities from a process improvement, process monitoring and audit support perspective.
- 25% - Perform routine, monthly accounting tasks (i.e. journal entries or manual project cost adjustments in Oracle) to support timely financial close.
- 25% - Perform gatekeeper review of Non-PO workflow in the Ariba purchasing system. Verify appropriate level of approvers are assigned to transactions in accordance with Policy FIN-01, Delegation of Authority, and that the coding assigned to purchases appears reasonable and as intended.
- 10% - Prepare monthly billing for our division(s) that do not operate in Oracle.
- 10% - Perform monthly journal entry monitoring activities.
- 10% - Provide support for audit requests for external, internal and DCAA audits.
- 10% - Serve as backup to the employee with primary responsibility to support administrative, in-office needs (i.e.
- supply orders, file maintenance, opening tickets for conference room or copier maintenance, etc.) as requested by Finance Leadership. - 10% - Assist on special projects on an as needed basis.
- Ability to obtain US Secruity Clearance.
- To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

- Independent, self-motivated individual with strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to be able to understand and apply directions to tasks assigned.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of personnel and to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to make decisions and exercise some independent action in the completion of job duties.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater
D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $55,500.00-$. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $48,500.00 - $88,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
