Sr. Analyst / Manager - FP&A

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with cross-functional leaders to align financial targets with business strategy.
    • Support development of long-range planning (LRP) and scenario modeling to support sustainable growth, profitability, and resource allocation.
    • Maintain a rolling cash forecast, monitoring liquidity and working capital trends to support capital planning and spend management.
    • Assist with identifying financial risks and opportunities through variance analysis, KPI tracking, and trend monitoring; recommend actions to improve performance.
  • Business Partnership
    • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Controller, providing decision support and financial guidance to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
    • Lead financial analyses related to:
      • Pricing strategy and profitability
      • Investment business cases and prioritization
      • Cost optimization initiatives and productivity targets
    • Support executive-level reporting, including leadership dashboards, monthly operating reviews, and business performance readouts.
  • Financial Insights, Analytics & Reporting
    • Create and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and insights, including:
      • Revenue and Gross-to-Net (GTN) drivers (as applicable)
      • Operating expense trends and headcount analysis
      • Forecast vs. actual variance analysis and corrective action tracking
    • Assist with improving forecast accuracy and strengthening KPI transparency across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Accounting, Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure:
      • Accurate assumptions and spend phasing
      • Alignment between financial forecasts and operational plans
      • Strong governance and communication across stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive FP&A / finance experience in a manufacturing environment (biopharma, life sciences, or healthcare strongly preferred).
  • Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capability.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience with FP&A tools and ERPs (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Hyperion, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Other Requirements
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States
  • Must live or be willing to move to the Sacramento Metropolitan Region (Approx. 40 miles  radius)
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift throughout each shift, with or without accommodation
