Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each full-time employee shall receive a reduction in pay in exchange for PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the reduction in pay. SEIU Bargaining units (1, 3, 4, 11, 14, 15, 17, 20, 21) will receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours of PLP 2025 per month.

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one, Permanent, Full-time Analyst II position within the Division of Consumer Financial Protection's CRMLA Licensing Unit. This position is to be located in the Sacramento office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.

The Analyst II performs a variety of journey-level analytical and regulatory duties supporting the Department’s licensing and oversight of California Residential Mortgage Lending Act (CRMLA) licensees. Under general direction, the incumbent independently reviews and processes licensing applications and amendments; researches and interprets laws, regulations, and policies; prepares clear and accurate correspondence, reports, and deficiency notices; responds to inquiries from applicants, licensees, the public, and internal staff;

evaluates information received from internal and external sources to determine whether further review or action is warranted; maintains records and documentation in statewide systems; coordinates licensing matters with examiners, management, and other DFPI units; and provides administrative and program support to ensure consistent, timely, and compliant licensing operations.

Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; and
