This role is responsible for accurate loan boarding, funding, and payment structure setup, with a focus on complex transactions and data integrity across systems. The position ensures all funding conditions are met, supports reconciliation and exception resolution, and serves as a key resource for maintaining compliance and operational accuracy throughout the loan lifecycle.

Responsibilities Include
  • Board loans to the core system, ensuring accuracy of loan data, terms, and structure.
  • Review executed loan documentation prior to funding to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with approvals.
  • Verify funding conditions are satisfied and release funds, including loans, advances, payoffs, and wire transactions.
  • Validate loan details including rates, terms, maturity dates, and payment schedules.
  • Set up loan structures including escrow, interest reserves, participations, and fee arrangements.
  • Perform callback verification in accordance with internal controls.
  • Support complex loan boarding scenarios, including participations, syndications, SBA and investor programs, and specialized loan structures.
  • Perform reconciliation support, including GL balancing and ensuring data consistency across systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and system-related errors impacting loan setup or funding.
  • Support workflow processes, handle escalations, and contribute to system updates, conversions, and ongoing operational improvements, while serving as a primary user of core and ancillary systems.
  • Process routine maintenance requests, including account updates such as statements, autopay setup, and borrower information changes.
  • Assist with balancing and reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Crosstrain in servicing functions to support operational coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan boarding, funding, or loan operations within a financial institution, including exposure to consumer, commercial, and mortgage lending products and the full loan lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of core banking systems and data integrity, with experience in complex loan structures such as participations, syndications, or SBA programs, and advanced proficiency in system navigation and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and regulatory requirements, including GAAP/FASB
    91 treatment and investor or secondary market guidelines, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance throughout funding and boarding processes.

Pay Range (Hourly): $29.00 – $32.00/hour
