Summary: We are looking to hire a highly motivated Loan Officer in the Sacramento Region. You will be joining California’s Local Bank, and one of California’s Premier Community Banks. As a Home Mortgage Specialist, you will partner with the Retail Bank, Commercial Teams, Small Business and Financial Advisor’s. Generating self-source business will be a requirement.

Must Have:

• 5-7 years of direct experience in mortgage lending
• Must have their mortgage loan originator (MLO) registration through the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS)
• Needs to be delivering 5 applications and 3 funded loans minimum to meet the SMLS standards on performance
• Experience with residential mortgage products, lending practices, and regulatory requirements
• Needs to be involved in the community or networking groups to be successful in gaining business (real estate, banking, etc.)
• Experience with banking and mortgage related technology systems (Microsoft 365, loan origination platforms, and other business apps)

Day to Day:

• Drive mortgage loan production by generating new business through referrals, networking, and relationship development.
• Consult with borrowers on loan products, rates, and financing options to identify the best mortgage solutions.
• Manage the loan origination process, gathering documentation and submitting complete, compliant loan packages.
• Coordinate with processors, underwriters, title companies, and customers to ensure timely loan approvals and closings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with bank policies and federal/state lending regulations.
