Job Description & DutiesUnder the direction of the Supervisor I in the Office of Regional and Community Planning (ORCP), the Analyst II is responsible for maintaining and implementing policies related to the Consolidated Planning Grant (CPG), the State Rural Planning Assistance (RPA), and Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant funds. The incumbent monitors authorizations, allocations, encumbrances, and expenditures on a statewide basis. The incumbent serves as a liaison between ORCP and various entities, including DPAC, Accounting, Budgets, the Office of Federal Resources (OFR), FHWA, and FTA.
The incumbent also provides technical assistance to the Department's Divisions and Districts.
Eligibility is determined by the Analyst II/I exam score. New to State applicants must be on the state examination list. The final filing date is 02/28/2026. Applications may be submitted electronically via Cal Career or by mail to the addresses listed below.
Minimum RequirementsThe minimum qualifications are detailed in the Class Specification.
Desirable Qualifications- Knowledge of general business management principles and practices; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to establish cooperative working relationships.
- Experience with Excel, Smartsheet, word processing, and database software.
- Logical reasoning and analytical skills; ability to evaluate processes, provide recommendations, and propose effective, efficient solutions.
- Customer service orientation and ability to handle multiple competing deadlines.
