Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Supervisor (Sup) I, the Crime Analyst Supervisor (CAS), am responsible for supervision and administration of the Firearm Reporting Team (FRT). I ensure that the eligibility process for a person to own or possess a firearm and/or ammunition is completed accurately and within the mandated time frame; closely monitor workload, estimate demand, and recommend resource allocations to management;

and assist staff in interpreting and administering complex state and federal laws governing an individual’s eligibility to own/possess firearms or ammunition.
