Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, the Analyst I coordinates a variety of activities for the Registration & Titling (R&T) Program. Responsibilities include providing consultation services to the public, management, and staff on complex aspects of change of ownership—including transfers, private sales, default notice and change of situs address—among other tasks related to the public industry.

Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full‑time remote work in some circumstances. Telework‑eligible applicants must reside in California.

Travel may be required, including overnight travel in addition to 10% travel.

Note:

Effective July 1, 2025, a 3% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange. Effective January 1, 2026, the Staff Services Analyst classification will be re‑titled to Analyst I as part of California Department of Human Resources generalist consolidation.
