Salary: $5,308.00 – $8,157.00 per month
Position type: 12‑month Limited Term – Full Time; may be extended up to 24 months and/or become permanent.
Location:
Mather, CA (Recovery Directorate, State Hazard Mitigation Planning Unit)
Hybrid telework eligible; in‑office days as required.
Responsibilities- Conduct hazard mitigation program activities, including multi‑hazard mitigation, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and planning.
- Coordinate, track, and analyze hazard mitigation program activities.
- Research, interpret, and apply federal and state legislation, rules, practices, and principles governing the Hazard Mitigation Programs.
- Support coordination, planning, mitigation, and outreach activities within the Hazard Mitigation Assessment Unit.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with stakeholders from local, state, tribal, federal, private sector, community, and academic entities, and the general public.
- Assist the Senior Emergency Services Coordinator in developing and supporting Hazard Mitigation socialization and educational outreach opportunities.
Minimum qualifications are listed in the Classification Specification. Eligible candidates include those currently in classification, eligible for lateral transfer, reinstatement, LEAP, SROA, Surplus, and other related categories.
Special Requirements- Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. A valid Driver’s License is necessary; provide DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions.
- Completion of Conflict of Interest (COI) form within 30 days of appointment.
